Why customers choose Clean Splash for carpet cleaning
- Rated 5.0 on Google. Every review is from a real local job, and we reply to every one.
- Police-checked and fully insured. $20 million public liability, so your home and your landlord are covered.
- Hot-water extraction, not a surface shampoo. We rinse the soil out of the pile instead of leaving a sticky residue that attracts dirt again.
- Fast drying. Strong extraction pulls most of the water back out. In most homes the carpet is dry in 3 to 6 hours with a window open or the heating on.
- Straight answers on stains. We tell you before we start which marks will come out and which ones are permanent dye damage.
What’s included in a carpet steam clean
- Inspection and fibre check. Wool, nylon, polyester and blends each need a different chemistry and temperature. We check before we spray.
- Dry soil removal. Most carpet soil is dry grit. Taking it out first makes the wet clean far more effective.
- Pre-spray and agitation. A fibre-safe pre-conditioner breaks down body oils and traffic-lane grime, worked in with a grooming brush.
- Spot and stain treatment. Targeted treatment for coffee, wine, pet accidents, food, makeup and mud.
- Hot-water extraction rinse. The rinse flushes the loosened soil and pre-spray out of the carpet and back into the machine.
- Grooming and airflow. The pile is groomed to dry evenly, and we set up airflow to speed drying.
Carpet cleaning for end of lease and bond returns
Most Victorian rental agreements expect carpets to be returned in the condition they were in at the start of the tenancy, allowing for fair wear and tear. Agents often ask for a receipt from a professional clean. We give you an itemised tax invoice on the day, and we can work to a tight handover date. If you are booking a full end of lease clean, add carpets to the same visit and have it all done in one trip.
Pet stains and odours
Pet urine soaks through the carpet into the underlay, which is why the smell often comes back after a surface clean. We find the affected areas, treat them with an enzyme product that breaks down the urine salts, and then rinse the area thoroughly. Old accidents that have been left for months can leave permanent colour change. We will tell you honestly if that is the case before we start.
Rugs, upholstery and mattresses
We clean area rugs, couches, dining chairs and mattresses on the same visit. Synthetic rugs are usually cleaned on site. Wool, silk and hand-knotted rugs need a gentler low-moisture method, and we check the dyes first. See our upholstery cleaning page for couches and fabric chairs.

What our customers say
Frequently asked questions
How long does carpet take to dry after steam cleaning?
Usually 3 to 6 hours. Drying is faster with a window open, the heating on, or a fan running. Thick wool carpets on a cold, humid day can take longer.
Can I walk on the carpet straight away?
Yes, in clean socks. Avoid outdoor shoes, and wait until the carpet is fully dry before putting furniture back.
Do I need to move the furniture?
Please move small items, breakables and anything on the floor. We can work around beds, couches and heavy furniture, or move light pieces for you.
Will every stain come out?
Most do, including coffee, food, mud and fresh pet accidents. Bleach marks, long-set dyes and some old pet stains change the carpet’s colour permanently. We tell you on inspection, before you pay for anything.
Is steam cleaning safe for wool carpet?
Yes, when the chemistry and temperature are right. We use wool-safe products and lower temperatures on wool and wool blends.
